Pharmacists do much more than dispense medicines. They help patients understand how to use medicines safely, provide guidance and support, promote healthy practices, and contribute to better healthcare every day.

As part of our World Pharmacists Day celebration, we asked some of our pharmacists questions about their profession, what motivates them, and their message to fellow pharmacists.
1. What does being a pharmacist mean to you?
To me, being a pharmacist is more than a profession;it is a calling, a responsibility, and an opportunity to make a long lasting difference in people’s lives by using knowledge, skills, compassion, and innovation to improve health and build trust in our communities.
2. What motivates you in your work every day?
For me, I am always motivated by the belief that pharmacist can do so much more. I believe that every small action, conversation, active listening, recommendation can make a significant impact on someone’s life. What is more, Every day I am inspired, and aspired to learn, innovate, serve better, and help shape a future where pharmacist is at the center of accessible, safe, and high-quality healthcare.
3. What message would you like to share with your fellow pharmacists on World Pharmacists Day?
To my fellow pharmacists: let us never forget the trust that comes with our Profession. Let us continue to serve with integrity, compassion and strive for excellence. The AI is real, we have to embrace innovation, lead with integrity, and never stop raising the standard of care. The future of pharmacy is full of possibilities, and we have the knowledge, passion, and responsibility to help shape that future.

1. What does being a pharmacist mean to you?
Being a pharmacist means more than dispensing medicines. To me, it means being a healthcare professional people can trust, helping patients receive the right medication, in the right way, with the right information. It also means being responsible, compassionate, and always willing to learn because every patient and situation is different.
2. What motivates you in your work every day?
What motivates me every day is knowing that my work can make a difference in someone’s health and wellbeing. I feel fulfilled when I help a patient understand their medication, answer questions, or reassure them when they are worried. Seeing patients improve and knowing I played a small part in their journey motivates me to keep learning and doing my best.
3. What message would you like to share with your fellow pharmacists on World Pharmacists Day?
To my fellow pharmacists, let’s remain passionate about what we do and remember the impact we have on our patients and communities. Let’s keep learning, supporting one another, and upholding the trust that comes with our profession. Happy World Pharmacists Day to all of us! 💊🤍
